Ford Issues Major Recall of Up to 1.39 Million F-150 Trucks Over Dangerous Downshifting Risk

Ford Motor Company has announced a sweeping recall of up to 1.39 million F-150 pickup trucks, citing a potentially dangerous defect that could cause the vehicles to unexpectedly downshift while in motion, leading to a possible loss of vehicle control.
